RIVENZALE'S ANGEL

 

     Angel is a chestnut New Zealand containing 12.5% Flemish Giant from a previous outcross. She has proven to have an excellent growth rate, and we adore her amazingly affectionate demeanor. She was born here on the farm as part of Dora's C Litter. Angel is going to be paired with Milton's Rohan to produce purebred and pedigreed New Zealand reds. We hope to improve on Rohan's more demanding temperament, while preserving his beautiful head and color. Angel should improve on his hindquarters and growth rate, as well. Rohan should improve on her shoulder length and her overall depth. Both are nice and wide at the table with good loin coverage and good dentition, so we also hope to preserve that in both of them.

     Offspring of this pair will be bred back to Cocoa Puffs to rule out or confirm the presence of the albino gene, which we will also be breeding out of our red lines. Any white New Zealands produced by the pairing with Cocoa will be held back, grown out, and evaluated for producing future generations of New Zealand whites here on the farm.
