Dora's kits are nearly four weeks old. She has five baby girls which are all now eating hay and pellets in addition to nursing. All the kits are still with Dora, and they will remain with her until they are six weeks old, barring anything unforeseen. We did lose one kit to a freak injury. The kit climbed into the food bowl, and Dora mistakenly bit a leg. The wound was severe and the kit was fading, so we made the tough decision to euthanize the baby, rather than dragging out her suffering. This is why we do not take deposits on very young rabbits: they are simply too fragile to guarantee survival at this age. Everyone will be getting a round of probiotics on Wednesday and again at separation from Dora to ensure good gut health and easy weaning. All kits from this litter are spoken for, as we have a wholesale order to fill for a local university. All doe kits are spoken for until further notice as a result. Please read our Sale Contract and fill out a Sale Inquiry if you would like to be placed on our waiting list.
